50th Reunion Co-Chairs Commit to the Future of HWS

Dr. Kay T. Payne and George E. Steinemann

In honor of their 50th Reunion this past June, the Class Committee Co-chairs documented planned gifts and joined The Wheeler Society.

Dr. Kay T. Payne is well familiar with the impact of engagement and philanthropy. As an active member of her church and community, she understands how important it is to participate in the causes and organizations you care deeply about. Kay recently confirmed her intent to support the Colleges with her thoughtful planning and shared that “membership in The Wheeler Society is a most fitting epitaph.”

George E. Steinemann is well-versed in the benefits of long-term planning through his career as a certified financial planner and investment advisor. While more recently retired, George has continued to include HWS in his philanthropy and says: “I know that at some point, the Colleges will survive me. By leaving a legacy gift, I’m happy knowing HWS will receive a charitable gift commensurate with my annual gifts in a lump sum upon my passing.”

Kay and George join many like-minded alums and friends who wish to prolong their support of Hobart and William Smith by joining The Wheeler Society.
